The Kurdish community was thrilled to participate in GlobalFest this year! Our pavilion tent attracted hundreds of visitors who were excited to learn about our culture and traditions. Thank you to everyone who stopped by!

We are proud to share that our community participated in the "2024 Beyond Race: We're All One!" event, hosted by KSSC.
This event was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate diversity alongside many other communities.
Negin Partovi delivered a heartfelt speech about who the Kurds are and what drives them here. Her words deeply resonated with the audience, fostering understanding and appreciation of our culture.
Firat Arya gave a remarkable performance, singing Kurdish songs and playing the Tanbur with great feeling and His music added a beautiful and emotional touch to us.
And We presented a special booth showcasing Kurdish culture, sharing our heritage with a wider audience and promoting unity.

We were pleased to attended the Mini-OneWorld Festival today Afternoon at Downtown Calgary.
It was a fantastic event where we had the pleasure of introducing our vibrant Kurdish community and our culture and stories to many attendees.
Our pavilion featured beautiful cultural decorations, and it was heartwarming to see many people engaging with and learning about the Kurds. The event was enriched with performances from various communities, making it an interesting and diverse experience for everyone present.
this event was a mini event and the big Globalfest festival is on August and we will see you there .

We had a positive meeting with Hon. Mickey Amery, Minister of Justice. and during the meeting, we addressed various challenges facing Albertian in general and highlighted key needs of our Kurdish community. Minister Amery was very supportive and committed to helping us in several areas like to find a place for our community to gather, hold small events, and offer services. and support for cultural events and festivals to celebrate our heritage.
We thank Minister Amery for his support and commitment to helping us enhance our community's well-being and integration.
